Services

Acorn Chaplaincy seeks to provide comprehensive support for those recovering and those beginning their recovery from addiction. We understand that people’s needs will vary depending on where they’re at on their recovery journey, so we offer a range of services, from chatting with one of our chaplains to community support groups. We also run courses that aim to equip individuals to manage and overcome their addiction. You can find out more about each service below. If you think we can help you and would like to talk to someone about receiving support, please fill in our self-referral form by clicking here.

Break-out provides a safe environment for anyone who is affected by an addiction or compulsive behaviour to visit for support. Our centre is hosted by compassionate volunteers who offer a listening ear, refreshments and advice on how Acorn Chaplaincy can assist with tackling the addiction they are affected by.

One-hour sessions can be booked with our trained chaplains who provide spiritual support to those in addiction recovery. Chaplains can be met regularly, will always be willing to listen and can offer advice on other services we provide. While not all of our chaplains have a history of addiction, they are compassionate, and understanding and will always offer encouragement.

Open Thursdays from 14:00-16:00, all are welcome and no invitation is required. The drop-in centre is in the Boathouse, Lifechurch Southampton, 11 Cranbury Terrace, SO14 0LH.

Signposting

If service users require support beyond what we can offer, we will signpost them to other organisations. Our chaplains will help individuals with phone calls, filling in forms or providing any other aid so they can connect to the services that can best help them.
